LOCATION
La Confluencia is located within the Río Azul Natural Protected Area 15 kilometers from El Bolsón, Argentina. Our property is situated at the confluence of the Río Blanco and Río Azul rivers, right at the trailhead for many of hikes in this area, including the famous Cajón del Azul. This location offers truly unparalleled access to the forests, mountains and rivers that have made this corner of Patagonia such a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts in recent years.
GETTING HERE
We are located approximately 110 kilometers south of Bariloche near El Bolsón, Argentina. The nearest access point to La Confluencia is located about 15 kilometers from El Bolsón at "Wharton". Transportation from here is included as the final 2 kilometers leading up to the lodge are accessible in 4x4 vehicles only.
If you will be traveling to Wharton in a private vehicle, secure parking is available here during your stay.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
The nearest airport is located 125 kilometers away in Bariloche (BRC). There are frequent daily flights to and from Buenos Aires. Flights to and from other cities in Argentina, Chile and Brazil are offered on a more limited basis. We can pick you up from the airport upon arrival. The drive from the airport is about 1.5 hours and follows the famous Ruta 40 highway south through the scenic Nahuel Huapi National Park.
Bus transportation is also available to nearby El Bolsón with the company Via Bariloche. Pick up from the bus terminal can be easily arranged should any members of your group be arriving via public transportation.
Arrival will be coordinated with each group once your booking with us is confirmed. Pick ups from alternate locations are available upon request.
WHEN TO VISIT
The lodge is open year-round. If you will be traveling from the northern hemisphere, keep in mind that the seasons here in the southern hemisphere are opposite. You can enjoy the lodge, wellness facilities and outdoor recreation activities in every season.
